Spot the Difference was my first foray into writing books for children. I enjoy books that are multipurpose. Books where children learned something interesting and beneficial. Gingerbread was an easy recipe to start with.
The idea for the toolbox came from seeing a picture of a workman’s toolbox. I liked the idea of an image that presented action. A task to be completed. The toolbox was imagery that children then could bring to life.
The recipe was adapted by my sister to make it easier for children to read and follow. Adding hiding ingredients in the images was a bit of fun. The aim is to educate children in a fun way.
Although I have more ideas they slipped away into a busy life but now with the development of The Adventures series I just might resurrect this series.
